Chocolate Dipped Fruit Pops

Some fun treats for hot days:
Materials
- You'll need fresh fruit, your choice
- dark or light chocolate, your choice
- small dried fruit flakes and bits
- shelled nut meats
- popsicle sticks (pick them up at a craft store)
- Double boiler, you don't get a choice on that, use a double boiler ::grin::
- Wax paper
- cookie sheet
Directions
Melt the chocolate slowly using the double boiler, allow it to cool to the point that it's beginning to thicken again. There may be a light film crust on the top, stir it in and don't allow it to form again by occasionally stirring.
Take your preferred prepared fruit and dip it in the chocolate, then dip it in the dried fruit or nut meats. Place in on a wax paper lined cookie sheet and pop it in the freezer for a bit.
Ideas:
- Banana's dipped in chocolate then in ground black walnuts
- Apples in chocolate then dried coconut flakes
- Strawberries, chocolate then powdered sugar
- Pineapple in chocolate then grated dried orange rind
