"TOP THIS" Potluck Fruit Salad

All the ladies in the Alter Guild will look at you crosswise at the potluck supper, when they plunk down their beans an' weenies. An' that's th' whole idea. Toppin' comes in many forms!

Ingredients & Preparation

• Premake: two or three boxes Champagne Jell-O (according to box directions)
• Melt: One pot of white chocolate medallions, one pot of dark semisweet chocolate medallions
• Dice: 1/2 inch cubes - 3 or 4 large pears, 2 or 3 large Red Delicious or other sweet apples.
• Ball: Flesh of one medium Honeydew Melon.
• Section: 1 dozen mandarin oranges
• Optionally: Whole Strawberries.

Directions

Place fruit sections on paper towels to drain.

Dip about a third of the fruit pieces in chocolate, place on wax paper.

Remove Champagne Jell-O from fridge, cube, and start tossing cubes of Jell-O and handfuls of fruit, chocolated and otherwise, into it.

Alternately, place several cubes of Jell-O along with mixed fruit and chocolated fruit into dessert glasses. Top with whipped cream and a sliced strawberry.

Serves a multitude.
