Fried apples

this can be serves as a dessert or as a breakfast sweet. It is a traditional Southern breakfast treat and complements a ham steak beautifully.

Directions

Slice tart apples crosswise - so they have a star in the center. Fry in a small amount of oil, quickly, until the apple slices caramelize slightly. Dust with cinnamon, nutmeg and brown sugar.
